“David and I just wanted to say a big thank you to you for being so amazing on our day and going above and beyond for us. The photos look amazing – I knew you would capture the emotion of the day.”
Chrysanthe and David’s plans for their wedding day were more than just flights of fancy. Ideas that were seemingly, at first, a bit adventurous, all came together on the day. Flight became the theme, in many ways, starting off with a beautiful Barn Owl whose job it was to fly the rings along the aisle in the church to the Best Man Phil. The owl had other, more restful ideas, and was duly carried along the aisle, looking very wise.
After the ceremony, two doves were released to symbolise a long and happy life together, and after much airborne confetti there was a mass flight of guests and wedding party all the way up to Warwick Castle. Warwick Castle weddings are a new experience for me, and the castle is truly spectacular – a real flight of imagination. After a cruise round the grounds in the wedding car trailing a mass of bubbles, Chrysanthe had arranged to have a butterfly release to share with her bridesmaids.
And a little later, the guests were treated to a dramatic display of majestic birds of prey, wheeling around the arena at not much above head height. All this was followed by a demonstration of a Trebuchet – a giant medieval catapult that hurled a ball of fire into the air, and if you were an enemy, in the general direction of your castle.
And if that wasn’t enough airborne entertainment, there were fireworks to end the day. A soaring success you might say. Here are the highlights…
