Harriet and Gavin | Winter Wedding Photography

January 13, 2010

Harriet and Gavin’s London wedding took place just before Christmas, and involved a drive out to Sheen along the King’s Road, not only thronging with thousands of Christmas shoppers, but also throbbing with thousands of Chelsea supporters gathering for the home game. Winter wedding photography can be challenging for all sorts of reasons! We had to get to the church in East Sheen for the ceremony, and I think for all of us, guests, bride and bridesmaids, it was the longest drive of our lives! It was tough even for the white wedding taxis the girls were in, driven by seasoned cabbies. We made it, and it was the start of a warm winter’s wedding, full of sparkle and elegance…

One Great George Street was where we were all tipped out of the London Routemaster buses for the reception and wedding breakfast, and the beautiful lobby looked amazing with uplit winter decorations to set the Christmassy wedding atmosphere. As always, the food was fantastic, the wine flowed, and the speeches were moving and heartfelt.

“I don’t know what to say – the photographs were breathtaking. We realise how important the photographs are to preserving our memories of the day and you have surpassed all our hopes and expectations.” Harriet

Great shots of the bride and groom! Love the ambient light of the ceremony.
