“Our photos are beautiful and capture all the precious memories and moments we did not see! They are a huge talking point! Thank you so much for our photos, we love them!”
I have been very fortunate in photographing at The Oak Room at Brocket Hall several times this summer. It’s different every time, with each couple bring their own brand of specialness to their wedding day. Katy and Dean’s style was classical elegance, the boys dressed in traditional morning suits with the contemporary twist of being grey. Katy was dressed in Sophia Tolli’s fabulous modern take on the traditional bridal gown, and looked gorgeous.
Classical elegance suits me fine, I try to make my images classical and timeless, as much as is possible with trends changing over the years, but always with a contemporary take on the wedding day. Different angles, different viewpoints, I’m happy being inspired by the couple themselves. Dean and Katy were a delight to be with, and we had two portrait sessions which felt very different. The first, at the famous bridge, was relaxed but formal, the second, in the old garden, tucked away on the other side of the Oak Room, was much softer, the evening light was glowing, and Katy and Dean, relaxing together, had nothing to prove.
Here they are…
