Talia and Michael | Auberge du Lac, Hertfordshire

Talia and Michael’s wedding took place at the beautiful Auberge du Lac at Brocket Hall, one of several weddings in Hertfordshire I am photographing this year. Talia got ready in the bridal suite, which has a huge bay window, so the light poured in. Talia and Michael had hoped for an outdoor ceremony, but the good old English weather denied them that, so the chuppah was held in the tiny dining room, which was a tight fit! As usual, almost all of our coverage is documentary photography, honestly recording the day’s events. Our outdoor portraits are gently directed to get the best from the light and the location.

And luckily for us all, the clouds parted after a while, and we could all go outside for the rest of the day, and as you’ll see, the light in the evening was stunning. The speeches were excellent, and the dancing was brilliant – I think there were some very accomplished dancers among the guests. An excellent day was had by all.

You can see a slideshow with music of these images (and a few more!) if you click here:)

Talia’s dress was by Louise Marie Couture, and her flowers were by Louise at Kendalls.

Talia and Michael | Pre-wedding Portraits

What a contrast from the last pre-wedding portraits session – blazing sunshine!

I met Talia and Michael at their wedding venue, The Auberge du Lac on the Brocket Hall Estate, the perfect place for Hertfordshire weddings. I know the venue well, as I am one of the preferred suppliers there. The grounds are a gift to photographers, and wedding couples too of course, and so we ambled off to get used to cameras clicking. I have to say, Talia and Michael’s initial nerves went by the third frame, (I was counting!) and we had a lot of laughs as we enjoyed the views across the lakes and golf course.

Here are some of my faves from our session.
