Weddings at Pennyhill Park | Isabel and Jon

I hope this was just the first of many weddings at Pennyhill Park, deep in the Surrey countryside. What a wonderful venue! And this was my second St Paul’s wedding this year, although this is the one in Camberley! Isabel was calmness embodied as she had her hair and make up done – in fact both she and Jon are a pretty steady couple, it’s hard to imagine them getting flustered at all!

Isabel and Jon’s wedding day was blessed with blue skies and sunshine, doubly fortunate as Isabel was planning a surprise dove release in the grounds of Pennyhill Park, which Jon didn’t know about. The beautiful white doves took off in bright sunshine. A great day was had by all, from impassioned sermons at the church through to hilarious speeches after dinner. It was a fabulous day to share and document for Isabel and Jon, I wish them every happiness for their future together! I’m certainly looking forward to more weddings at Pennyhill Park.

Heike and Tobias | contemporary wedding photography

As Hertfordshire wedding photographers, the county limits are no obstacle, and we found ourselves shooting wedding photography in Surrey for Heike and Tobias’ wedding at Burhill Golf Club. Situated in Walton on Thames, Surrey, Burhill Golf Club was established in 1907.  The Club is known for the quality of it’s golf courses, it’s award winning food, and the warm welcome that every guest receives. The Georgian mansion house, built in 1726 is an elegant venue. Heike had booked me about ten months ago without having a venue confirmed – she didn’t want to lose me to another booking! We had a brilliant pre-wedding portrait session there a short while later (you can see it here) really getting to know each other, and the wedding day was perfect.

Heike and Tobias did something unique – a first look. This is done before the ceremony, and the couple are taken to a quiet area, one hidden from the other, and they then turn to see each other for the first time, dressed for their wedding. It’s a beautiful and emotional revelation, and Heike and Tobias both loved the special moment. Heike looked stunning in her Ian Stuart dress,  and we did some beautiful portraits then too, all before the ceremony. This left time for them to enjoy their drinks reception mingling with their families and friends.
