St Michael’s Manor wedding photography is always special, and it was an honour to document Aisha and Asela’s wedding day for them. There was the inevitable concern for the weather, and my fingers were firmly crossed as I assured Asela that it rarely rains all day. Well, the planets must have been in alignment, as not only did Aisha and Asela shine throughout, at times so did the sun. Yay!
I had already photographed Aisha and Asela for their pre-wedding portraits, (you can see them here) and I knew that they would be calm and confident on their wedding day. The registrars were a delight, and made the whole process easy for the couple. Aisha and Asela are a perfect fit for each other, and their happiness permeated the whole day – everybody was smiling. Even Aisha’s sunny colour scheme seemed to add to the mood – fantastic lime green bridesmaids dresses, and fabulous flowers by Jo and Nicky at Gadsden Flowers.
The speeches were full of love and emotion, and everyone was treated to an amazing display of energetic Sri Lankan dancers, before Aisha and Asela’s rather more considered first dance for took place. It was, in every respect, an excellent day.
Here are a few of my favourite images from the day – a Photofilm will follow shortly.
As always, please leave a comment or two below, I’d love to hear from you.
“We have had some many compliments on your lovely photos. Each time we look at them we find something new! We just wanted to let you know how grateful we are to you for doing such a brilliant job. Each of your photos are so natural and convey a true sense of emotion. You put us completely at ease and we did not feel self-conscious at all being photographed. We were so wonderfully surprised at how many candid and intimate moments you captured without being in any way intrusive. We really would have no hesitation in recommending you to our friends and family.“ Aisha and Asela
