BIPP Associateship

Being very keen on continual personal development, I have set myself a target for this year. I want to achieve Associateship level with the British Institute of Professional Photographers, my professional qualifying body. It is a benchmark for excellence, and having attained my Licentiate level a couple of years ago, thought I’d raise my game again. My panel of images for the Licentiate level can be seen here.

A mentoring session with the delightful Bella West was arranged, and today I went to have a selection of images assessed with her commenting on each one. I am a great admirer of her work, so I did feel a bit like a school-boy asking for a hero’s autograph! She was very complimentary, I’m pleased to say, but her eye for detail is amazing, and she pointed out aspects of my photos I hadn’t considered. I’ll keep you posted with how this all progresses. My selection of images was eventually whittled down to six, which may (or may not) become part of the panel of twenty images. Here they are…
