Pendley Manor Wedding Photography

Pendley Manor in Hertfordshire is a beautiful venue for wedding photography, with thirty five acres of landscaped gardens to explore. The house has a history going back a thousand years to the Domesday Book. Successive families lived in Pendley Manor for many generations, but it was abandoned in the mid-nineteenth century and succumbed to fire in 1835.

A new Tudor style manor house was commissioned by local landowner Joseph Grout Williams in 1872, and he and his family lived there until 1973, when the property was sold. In 1989 it was restored and re-opened as a Country House Hotel, and in 1991 the Harcourt Ballroom was added, together with seventy three further bedrooms, making it the Pendley Manor we know so well today.

Here are some images from Karen and Steve’s wedding which I photographed there earlier this year. You can see a slideshow of highlights from their wedding day at Pendley here.
