North Cadbury Court Weddings
I have a great sense of continuity in weddings – my parents were happily married, as were theirs. We have just celebrated our 35th anniversary, and most if not all of my lovely couples have parents and grandparents who married. Continuity is important for me professionally – I get recommended to friends and families by happy couples whose weddings and celebrations I have documented.
For Laura and Elliott, my recommendation came from both Laura’s sisters. I photographed Sarah’s wedding in 2008 at Hereford Cathedral, and Kirstin’s wedding in 2014 at Brympton d’Evercy in Somerset. Indeed, I was welcomed as one of the family, and real tears were shed when we all said our goodbyes at the end of the evening.
Laura and Elliott’s beautiful wedding took place over in the west country near Yeovil. North Cadbury Court weddings are a delight – the house is spectacular and the grounds are extensive. We had to dodge the raindrops as you’ll see, but it didn’t stop us grabbing a few shots outside.
There’s a continuity and consistency in how I work too. I meet each couple before their wedding day and talk through how we all see the day unfolding, matching all our expectations with the possibilities and probabilities. Couples book me on the strength of the photos here on my website, as well as how well we fit when we meet. My commitment to each and every couple is to honour their faith in me and deliver a consistent set of images in line with – or exceeding – their expectations. The images we create on occasions like this become the family treasures of the future.
“Hi Steve, just a quick thank you for the photos, we are on our last night of our honeymoon and it was the perfect way to spend it watching the slideshow you’ve made! Thanks so much for capturing the day so brilliantly!” Laura and Elliott
