As Hertfordshire wedding photographers, specialising in documentary and contemporary wedding photography, St Michael’s Manor is one of my favourite wedding venues. Close to the centre of the ancient Roman city of St Albans, Hertfordshire, and near to the beautiful St Albans Abbey, this magnificent manor house hotel is set in five acres of beautiful English country gardens, with its own one acre lake. It is perfectly suited to my style of contemporary wedding photography.
The original house dates back over 500 years and was converted into a hotel in the early 1960’s by the Newling Ward family, who still remain as private owners and managers.
The 30 rooms are individually styled, many of which overlook the lake and gardens. The room designs are a blend of classical and elegant décor creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The award winning restaurant gives excellent views across the garden and lake and is a much loved regular dining venue drawing food lovers from far and wide.
St Michael’s Manor is the perfect romantic house with an orangery-restaurant, private rooms, lounge, bar terrace and magnificent grounds providing the ideal location for your wedding ceremony and your celebration.
