Hertfordshire wedding photography at the Auberge du Lac Restaurant
Auberge du Lac is set in the magnificent parkland of the Brocket Hall Estate and as local Hertfordshire wedding photographers it is always a pleasure to photograph weddings there. It promises to uphold the finest of culinary standards to further enhance Brocket Hall’s international reputation for excellence.
Lauren Caisley, Brocket Hall Estate marketing co-ordinator said: “Steve is a credit to his profession. He always ensures the highest level of commitment to each client and delivers above and beyond what is expected every time. It is a pleasure to recommend his beautiful work, his personable nature and his detailed professionalism”
Under the expert guidance of Executive Chef Phil Thompson, Auberge du Lac, the Brocket Hall Estate’s former Hunting Lodge, has gained a national reputation as one of the most interesting out-of-London restaurants in the country. Their famed cuisine and renowned wine cellar have made them a ‘destination restaurant’ in Hertfordshire amongst discerning couples getting married.
A former Hunting Lodge dating back to 1760, Auberge du Lac sits proudly alongside the water’s edge in its own peaceful environment, overlooking the splendour of the Estate. Timeless elegance surrounds you, perfect for documentary wedding photography, enabling you to relax and enjoy fine wines and superb dishes. The possibilities for our blend of reportage and contemporary wedding photography are endless.
In 2005 Brocket Hall announced the appointment of Phil Thompson, Executive Chef of its flagship fine dining restaurant Auberge du Lac. Phil joined Auberge du Lac in 2002 and has provided an outstanding contribution to the success of the restaurant following engagements at leading London wedding venues including L’Escargot, the Lanesborough and St. Martins Hotels.
Phil is 100 percent hands-on, combining the best traditions of French cooking with his own essentially English background. His success with Auberge du Lac is such that his responsibilities now include Brocket Hall, where he oversees menus for their prestigious clientele.
In January 2009, Phil and the Auberge du Lac were awarded a much coveted Michelin Star.
