A Hampshire wedding | Contemporary Wedding Photography in Hampshire
Although I am a Hertfordshire wedding photographer, I am more often than not found shooting contemporary wedding photographs elsewhere in Hampshire. Careys Manor is a beautiful Victorian manor house set in the heart of The New Forest, Hampshire, and is where Kate and Dan had their wedding reception. The house and grounds are perfect for my mixture of reportage and contemporary wedding photography. Kate got ready at home, under the approving eye of Katherine, her lovely mum, and bridesmaids Alexandra, Katie, and Dan’s sister Rebecca.
The wedding ceremony was in Our Lady of Lourdes, a pretty church not far from the sea, and given any opportunity to go to the beach, I’ll be there! Kate and Dan were only too pleased to spend some time on the beach, on this roasting hot day, and we made some dramatic pictures on the water’s edge, especially with the wind catching Kate’s veil.
Kate looked amazing in her Caroline Castigliano wedding gown, and Dan looked very dashing in his morning suit – both were very relaxed in front of the camera, especially having had their pre-wedding portrait session earlier in the year. At Careys Manor, I was able to photograph their guests in a natural and unobtrusive way, while also creating some beautiful portraits. The speeches were excellent, with Dan’s best man Paul producing Dan’s lunch box (and contents) to great amusement. The dancing went on well into the night. Here are some of my favourite images from our fabulous day with Kate and Dan…
