Kajal and Myles’ Hindu wedding celebrations took place at Shendish Manor in Hertfordshire, a favourite wedding venue of mine, and one that I am proud to be recommended by. The colours, ritual and ceremony were beautiful to witness, and I was made to feel so welcome by everyone involved. Both moving and funny, the ceremony involves all the closest family members, with the priest describing the different elements of the ceremony and their meanings as it went along.
After a break for drinks and an afternoon snack, Kajal and Myles were lead into their wedding breakfast by two vigorous dhol drummers, and after cutting their cake, the drummers set off the dancing with fabulous Bhangra music, with everyone joining in.
