About Me | Hertfordshire Wedding Photography

Hi everyone! I’m Steve and this is my web site and blog. You are very welcome, and I hope you enjoy getting involved with me and my photography.

I am a full-time professional wedding photographer based in sunny St Albans in Hertfordshire. I travel to London and all over the country for my lovely clients, and I’m fortunate to shoot in some of the country’s finest wedding venues. I started my career photographing celebrities for magazines, and built my reputation for beautiful quality photography while working for magazines such as The Sunday Times, You, Radio Times, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Top Gear and many more. I’m very proud to have several portraits in the National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection in London.

About ten years ago I photographed a friend’s weddings on my new digital camera. With documentary wedding photography, I realised I could record the wedding day in a fun and lively way, in the style of my magazine work, with spontaneous and creative images composed for beautiful wedding albums. I never looked back, and thoroughly enjoy recording each wedding in a creative and natural way, for you, your families, and for posterity. I am passionate about people, beauty and ceremony, and my reportage wedding photography is balanced with gorgeous contemporary wedding portraits. I hope you’ll see in my images how comfortable people are when in front of my camera.

That is where I come from, photographically, trying to not be a ‘weddingy’ photographer, and working hard at being a creative and imaginative contemporary wedding photographer of beautiful brides, handsome grooms and lovely people at weddings.

PS I also like walking our dog, Jazz, drinking excellent red wine, good coffee, reading just about anything, especially crime stories and a bit of sci-fi, and films, yes we watch a lot of films. And cooking. And eating. Mmmm. I like things made by Apple, and Canon, and Aston Martin. I drive a Volvo, as I’m modest! Well, most of the time… I’m a Libran – it’s all a question of balance.

And I love my two daughters, and my photography books, couldn’t live without them.
